Welcome to the
NORTHWEST AUTOMOTIVE PRESS ASSOCIATION
(NWAPA) official website.

The NWAPA membership includes automotive journalists from the Pacific Northwest, as well as representatives of various manufacturers and other industry professionals spanning the automotive industry.

NWAPA goals are to:

  • Improve communications between the automotive journalists
    of the Northwest and the automotive industry.

  • Further the accuracy and quality of automotive journalism.

  • Improve the professionalism and communication of our members.

  • Foster ongoing education for members.

  • Provide a forum for newsworthy people and products
    within the Northwest and from across the country.

Each fall, the NWAPA sponsors a nationally recognized Sport-Utility Vehicle of the Year competition. This is a two-day event that puts the industry's best SUVs to the test. Check out the fun in the Mudfest Section.

Founded in 1991, NWAPA is made up of many members, representing numerous newspapers, magazines, radio stations, media groups and the Internet. Non-voting members include representatives from automotive manufacturers and related industry professionals.

Meetings are held four times a year at various locations in Washington and Oregon.

• Lance Lambert inducted into the 2008 Washington State Hall of Fame. See the article in CruZin' Magazine.

• Congrats to Jeff Zurschmeide and Paul Eklund for their finish in the 2008 Alcan Rally. Paul's team took first in class and sixth overall. Jeff and his team placed third in class and 13th overall.
